Burn testers available from Submerge for $100, assembled.
Specify Anderson connector (pictured, plugs into battery charge
plug on battery pack) or alligator clips. If you do not have the
Anderson connector for your charger and battery pack we can supply
them.

Instructions: Fully charge batteries. Connect burn tester to
the battery pack (WARNING- burn tester gets extremely hot, keep
away from battery pack or ANY flammable material.)

Start a timer / stopwatch, and begin recording the voltages at the battery
terminals.

ALWAYS finish the test before the batteries reach 20 Volts.
Failure to do so will cause permanent battery damage.
Batteries are not covered by warranty.

We record the date and burn time so we can determine when the
battery pack needs replacing; usually when it drops below 80%
of the original capacity or sooner if full capacity is required
for a dive.

Usual burn tests to 21 Volts at battery terminals:

Genesis 16 A/h 40-45 minutes

Yuasa 26-12B 65-75 minutes

Genesis 26 A/h 70-90 minutes

Genesis 42 A/h 150 minutes

Burn times decrease with temperature.

Tow rope adjustable knot: Taught line hitch The adjustable knot is used on both sides. It allows fast and infinite adjustments to to length. The tow clip should be left sliding, so that is always pulls evenly from both sides even when the tow rope length changes, or the you are making a sharp turn with the scooter. (see last 2 pictures on this page) Note: we cut the tow rope to 8 feet long, I am 6' and can run it all the way out when cruising so if you are taller add 1'. Step 1: Step 2: The knot on the trailing end will not slide through to tow rope capture if the knot comes undone. Stainless Steel Tow rope capture:
