Ressel, France 2004
Report of exploration

Suzie and I recently returned from a cave diving trip to France.
We had many memorable dives and great company on the trip, which
was split between Cassis sea caves of Port Mior and Bestonian,
and the famous Lot region, where we were priviledged to be able
to dive the Ressel, Madame, Landenouse, Carbouy and St George.
This video of the Ressel was fun but also frustrating, as we
only had air and double 12 liter cylinders. We turned
at approx 800 meter penetration because of the depth
(50 meters on the roof) which was 1/8th gas supply.
We eventually were able to aquire some mix to video further
into the deep section however unfortunately we both
came down with chest colds and could not dive the last 2 days.
We returned to Switzerland for our flight home, and met with
some of our scooter customers who along with some
Germans are completing a detailed map of the Ressel, all
the way to the end (sump 5, over 4 Km into the cave?)

This is the simplest way to tow
the UV-18 and UV-26.
Pass the tow rope through the
bottom loop in the webbing,
adjust length with the sliding
knot on each side of the shroud,
clip onto your tow D-ring
and go!
The UV-42 requires a secondary
tow rope which can be stowed
on the nose of the scooter.
